An arbor blocked the overhead light, but the ambient light and an off camera flash provided light on the subject. The flash tended to overexpose the light shirt. The shaded background turned dark with the exposure for the ambient light and fill flash. This concept can work well, but the ambient light was too dark to show the technique's optimum potential.
