This photo is an example of "back lighting", with the main light positioned to camera right and behind the model. A reflector bounced light from the main light to provide the fill light on Jolee's pretty face. I used some dodging and burning to control the contrast in this image, and most of those that follow. This is dramatic lighting, and it is also hard to work with.
