A closeup of Amanda holding the balloons. The balloon strings needed to be clear of her face to avoid their lines cutting across the subject of the image (her face). Notice how the bare shoulder skin is an area almost as large as her face, and that it competes for the viewer's attention. The shoulder area needs to be exposed the same as the face, or preferably a little darker. Pay attention to how the bare upper arms work in the following images. It is best for women to wear sleeves in portraits.
